Our regular Sunday Worship is at 10:30, in the Chapel of the Epiphany, at UBC. The Chapel is best accessed off Iona Drive. Parking is available along Iona Drive, on Sunday mornings. From the main entrance the Chapel is accessible for those with mobility issues.
Whenever we gather as a community, we hope that there is space for any and all. Our worship tends to be in a more traditional liturgical style, focused on prayer and praise, Scripture and preaching, and we often affirm both the Apostle's Creed and A New Creed as reminders of the Christian faith which we have inherited and in which we stand. However, we are made up of a diverse group of people, and we want to provide space for questioning and growth, space where we learn to love and disagree well, and above all, where we can gather around and orient ourselves to Jesus--not our personal thoughts, feelings, or expectations. When we gather as a community at worship, in the name of Jesus, all are welcome!
After the opening of our service, children are invited to go to our Church School, where they will engage more deeply and interactively with Bible stories, through songs, readings, games, and crafts. Children are always welcome to stay in the sanctuary throughout our worship, and parents of infants and toddlers are welcome to make use of an open play area at the back of the sanctuary.
We celebrate the sacrament of Communion regularly, usually on the first Sunday of the month, and on major feast days. During the seasons of Advent (four Sundays before Christmas) and Lent (the season leading to Easter, beginning on Ash Wednesday) we celebrate Communion weekly. We believe that at Communion each person is invited by Jesus Christ, and therefore every person is welcome.
